There are a number of legends associated with this 14-century castle and is reputed to be haunted. It has two famous female ghost, the White Lady and the Blue Lady. According to legend, Lady Blanche is the spirit of Margaret Pomeroy, who died of starvation while he was imprisoned in the dungeons by her sister jealous. Apparently, she haunts the dark dungeons, and rises from the Tower to St Margaret the castle. The Blue Lady is not confined to specific areas, and is supposed to draw people in parts of the ruin.
