Archibald Fountain, properly known as JF Archibald Memorial Fountain, is widely regarded as one of the finest public fountain in Australia, is located in Hyde Park in central Sydney, New South Wales. It is named after JF Archibald, owner and director of the Bulletin of the magazine, who bequeathed the funds to build it. Archibald explained that it was designed by French artist, both because of his great love for French culture and memory associations in Australia and in France in World War I has thought that the building design and decorations for his dream of developing compete in the city of Paris. The artist was chosen Francois Sicard.
